This Swedish Neoclassical Mirror features an Eagle perched over a branch. The mirror has a flat cornice above an arched section with the carved and gilt eagle perched on a branch. Rare and unusual painted faux porphyry surrounds the mirror glass and highlights the top and bottom cornices. Duck egg blue and black paint contrast with the gilt carvings and appliques and make a strong statement. Original glass. Circa 1830.
