Early 19th century Swedish corner cabinet, crafted in two parts and retaining its original dry scraped painted surface in layered tones of white, grey, and pale blue.

The upper section with paneled cupboard doors opening above a shaped open niche, the lower section enclosed by conforming paneled doors, all with deeply molded and fluted detailing characteristic of the Gustavian tradition.

The angled form was designed to fit efficiently within a room corner while providing substantial storage, reflecting the practical elegance of Scandinavian provincial craftsmanship during the late Gustavian period. The heavily weathered surface, soft architectural lines, and exceptional patina lend the piece remarkable depth and visual texture.
