A Swedish, Original Painted Pine, Writing Desk With A Center Drawer, Circa 1820 Influenced From The Late Gustavian Period. Most Likely From Region Of Sweden Around Halsingland Because Of The Color Of The Paint Pigment. The single drawer decorated with a raised diamond carving and simple ring pull for opening. The legs are tapered and fluted. The back legs are connected with a cross brace for stability. The scrubbed top retains a lovely indication of the former paint.
