Often mistaken to be an Italian Company, Torino was actually a Florida, USA based lamp manufacturer in the 1970s & 80s. The US patent for the robot lamp was filed by George Atrio in 1979.
The nose on each robot lamp is a 3-way switch that lights the head, hands or all three, and the earrings on the female robot are removable.
The arms and heads of the robot couple can can be slightly positioned at 20 degrees enabling them to be styled into endless various stances.
