Home is now the new center for both living and working. These past months have become very transformative in the way we live, and how we approach living. The impact will have legs for years to come, and that is why we are seeing more focus on making our home space more about nurture and less about a place just to hang our hats.

The Scandinavians have been very successful at balance. Blending the exterior with the interior and embracing light any way possible. Clean interiors that are balanced and harmonious with natural surrounds help to create an environment that nurtures. Because Scandinavia is very tech savvy, working from home already has been a norm, and the balance of light and nature indoors a plus. The Scandinavians have removed the sterile “office” decor and have replaced it with soothing, hygge “workspaces” that reflect nurture.

To achieve this, we suggest our clients embrace what is unique about where they live, and merge elements of the exterior into their indoor living spaces. Harmony in balance creates a harmonious home. Bring the natural light inside, open a space up to create a spacious living space or have fun with the exterior colors that surround you. Think of the outside as an extension of your living space.
