Country: Sweden Period: late 18th c - early 19th c Description: L. 18th c - E. 19th c Swedish tallcase clock with exceptional form, painted in pale blue gray with decorative berry and garland detailing. Clock face signed Hans Wessman, Stockholm. (Hans Wessman a registered clockmaker in Stockholm 1765-1805) Decorative finial on top, most likely a later early 20th c. addition.
